Gard Jameson is a former partner at Piercy, Bowler, Taylor and Kern, CPAs. He spent 25 years in the accounting industry before returning to school to earn his Ph.D in Comparative Religion at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara. He now teaches Oriental and Western Philosophy at UNLV. He serves as Southern Nevada Coordinator for Contemplative Outreach, an organization started by Father Thomas Keating, introducing people to contemplative prayer.

His community service includes serving as Associate Pastor at Grace Community Church in Boulder City, the current Chair of the Interfaith Council of Southern Nevada, the current Chair of the Childrens’ Advocacy Alliance and Trustee Emeritus of the Nevada Community Foundation. He also serves on the board of the North American Interfaith Network and the Raymond M Alf Museum of Life.

He is married to Dr. Florence Jameson. They have two children, Michael and Julia.
