GAYE LAGANA
Spiritual Director

A spiritual director for nearly two decades, Gaye is truly "moved" by the holy. Studying movement has helped her discern the movement of the spirit in spiritual direction sessions. She also finds that focusing techniques that guide directees into their bodies allows them to access their experiences in a more direct, clear and truthful way.

A graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, she taught English and elementary education. Yet, having danced her way through childhood and college, she went on to earn a Master's degree at Immaculate Heart College in Las Angeles and to provide hospital-based inpatient and outpatient movement therapy.

During a movement retreat, Gaye had a deeply spiritual experience that led her to deeply pray about how to use this blessing in service to others. Gaye answered the call to be a deacon in the Episcopal Church and to complete Gonzaga University's two-year spiritual direction training program. (Offers virtual appointments).
