Serving the Poor and Homeless: An Active Retreat in Social Justice with the Catholic Worker Community

Join us and members of the Catholic Worker Community, inspired by Dorothy Day, for this long-standing Stillpoint tradition and the last of our Lenten Retreats.  (Anticipate more Active and Experiential Retreats throughout the year!)

The day begins at 6:00 a.m. with morning prayer at The Las Vegas Catholic Worker House followed by a hands-on opportunity to help serve breakfast outdoors to hundreds of poor and homeless individuals.  Next we will participate in preparations for hosting a midday meal back in the house.

The morning continues with a reflection on the experience including time for debriefing, theological reflection, and contemplative prayer.  The day concludes over lunch with the Catholic Worker staff and their guests from the streets.

So that we can provide our hosts with a relatively accurate number of attendees, kindly register in advance below or call Stillpoint at 702-243-4040.

We recommend comfortable clothing and shoes; kitchen aprons and gloves will be provided.
