An Experiential Introduction to the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius

This title of a short prayer, “Draw Me Into Your Friendship” written by Joseph Tetlow, SJ, captures the invitation of entering into the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius of Loyola.  We so often take prayer as that opportunity to ask, thank and cry out to God, and that is good.  But there is also a desire for a deeper intimacy, to know ourselves as friends of Jesus, and to discover that our journey is and always has been in the company of Jesus.

Come and explore Ignatius’ method and madness in this experiential introduction with Fr. Shannon from Grace in the Desert Episcopal Church in Summerlin.  Fr. Shannon has been immersed in the Spiritual Exercises for 37 years and has directed both the 30-day silent retreat and the more common 19th annotation of the work.
