A Letter from Bhante Sujatha:

Dear Las Vegas Friends,

First, I am so grateful for our recent time together and for all of the support of our 3rd annual Taste of Sri Lanka. You all bring such joy to me as we laugh and practice and add more love to the world together. These are the times our connection sustains us.

I am mindfully excited to announce our very first LasVegas Blue Lotus Precepts Ceremony coming January 27, 2017. The Precepts are one of the most beautiful commitments you can make to your spiritual journey. So many people have benefited from this experience and I welcome anyone who is ready or ready to consider. You can join and take just one, two or all five. It doesn’t matter. And you can just join us to witness a beautiful occasion where your friends and loved ones make a stronger determination to practice ethical behavior each day.

Tyler Lewke, our Blue Lotus Temple president in Woodstock, has written an essay titled “Taking the Precepts: Our Vow of Ethical Practice” He describes the precepts in a way I believe will be of interest to you. He shares his personal experience of what it meant to take them, as well as has written a description of the precepts that I believe explains them so well. You can read his journey and more about the precepts with these links HERE or copy and paste the address below:

Sri Lanka day 6: Taking The Precepts; our vow of ethical practice

In addition, I have attached the Precepts manual from our temple in Woodstock below. Please take a look and then communicate with me your questions and desire to participate. For those who register for the Precepts Ceremony, we will schedule a meeting, for after January 13th, to give more information and let you know more about the ceremony.

If you are interested, please go to the link below and register online. We will benefit from an accurate count for planning so we respectfully ask you make your commitment and register by January 13, 2017.

I am honored to share this spiritual journey with all of you.

May you be well, happy and peaceful,

Bhante Sujatha

We hope that you can join us!
