Stillpoint: Center for Spiritual Development in Las Vegas is seeking two Administrative Receptionists. There is a full-time position available and a part-time position available.

The Administrative Receptionist works closely with the Administrative Manager and attends to Reception and Front Office duties at Stillpoint. With a warm and welcoming personality, this person will assist with creating an environment and experience that pleasantly receives all who visit and interact with Stillpoint. The ideal candidates will have receptionist and administrative experience, along with good organizational skills necessary to ensure the efficient day-to-day running of Stillpoint.

Stillpoint’s staff is a small and dedicated team that includes the Executive Director, Administrative Manager, and two Administrative Receptionists—one full-time and one-part-time. The Administrative Receptionists report to the Administrative Manager and have the following duties and responsibilities:


• Hospitable presence at Reception—receiving visitors and answering phones
• Ensure that the ambiance and ethos of Stillpoint prevails at Reception
• Answer phones, screen and direct calls, retrieve, log and deliver messages
• Receive initial inquires for services, e.g., Spiritual Direction, programs, events, and facility rentals
• Receive, record and confirm program registrations via telephone, e-mail and online registration
• Maintain staff, Spiritual Directors and program calendars
• Communicate, schedule, reschedule and send reminders for Spiritual Direction appointments
• Receive Spiritual Directees and Directors according to established protocol
• Work with volunteer coordinator and receive and welcome volunteers

• Daily routine of opening and closing procedures for the Center
• Daily attention to overall care of Stillpoint–maintain Stillpoint ambiance throughout the Center
• Daily attention to display spaces, bulletin boards, seasonal/liturgical decorations
• Advance checking, monitoring and procuring of office and program materials and supplies
• Prepare, maintain and clean up rooms and Center before, during and after all programs
• Assist with meeting and program logistics as needed
• Order meals and assist with catering coordination for meetings and events
• Oversee Stillpoint Library check-in and check-out process
• Prepare signs, correspondence and other documents as needed (MS Word and Publisher)
• Complete errands (e.g., shopping for programs, retrieve items from storage facility)


• Print, photocopy, fax, and scan as needed
• Receive, sort and distribute mail
• Receive and record cash, check and credit card payments and donations in daily receipt log
• Check and reply to emails and voice mails throughout the day
• Maintain and update accurate mailing list for Center, services and programs (currently in MS Excel; future plan for CRM)
• Prepare letters and mailings under guidance of Administrative Manager or Executive Director
• Maintain front office filing systems and updated forms
• Maintain various office machines (e.g., replace ink and paper)

• Minimum of 5 years in receptionist, administrative and clerical role
• High school diploma and some additional education and/or training preferred
• Working knowledge of computers and relevant software applications (MS Office, Outlook/Google Calendar, One Drive/Google Drive, etc.)
• Preferred experience with email management programs (e.g., Constant Contact, Mail Chimp) and Customer Relationship Management software (e.g., Blackbaud, DonorPro, Salesforce)
• Cash handling experience
• Flexibility in schedule and ability to work some evenings and weekends
• Ability to lift 25 pounds
• Local resident or extensive familiarity with the Las Vegas area preferred
• Own transportation and willingness to run occasional errands
• Flexibility to work outside this job description when required

Full-time position: $25,000 to $30,000 depending upon experience
Part-time position: Hourly rate commensurate with experience

In recent years’ our offerings have also included facility rental for community programs such as Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction classes, Dharma talks and meditations with visiting Buddhist monks, and journaling workshops.
